Prof. Ujjwal K. Chowdhury is one of India's foremost media educators, academic administrators, and communication strategists. A pioneer of convergence-driven media education, he has significantly influenced the development of journalism, digital media, and communication studies in India. With a career spanning academia, media, and international organizations, he is widely respected for shaping future media professionals and advancing innovation in higher education.
Currently, Prof. Chowdhury serves as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Techno India University, Kolkata, Director of the Techno India Group, and Vice President of the Global Media Education Council (GMEC). Throughout his illustrious career, he has held leadership positions at some of India's premier institutions, including Symbiosis International University, Amity University Mumbai, Whistling Woods International, Pearl Academy, and Adamas University. Before entering academia, he built an impressive media career with organizations such as The Times of India Group, Zee News, BusinessWorld, and the World Health Organization (WHO).
